White Leather Seats Maintenance/Care
White Leather Seats Maintenance/Care
Hey guys, I’m looking for advice on how to keep my white leather seats (Satellite Grey Leather Lounge) crisp and clean.
After a week of use, you can see a little bit of dirt/darkness on it. Until now, I used some leather cleaner (Autoglym Leather Cleaner) every week and it seems to do a good job and after I also apply a conditioner (Autoglym Leather Balm) every 2 weeks.
I wonder if these products could be harmful if they are used too often? Does anyone know any better products?

I just bought a used Mini with the light beige leather interior and did some research on leather care. I'm typically a Meguiar's product user, but I found the ArmorAll leather care Gel got great reviews. I just bought it to try it out. Not much help, as I haven't used it yet, but maybe worth some product review research if you haven't tried it yet yourself.
Your interior is gorgeous! I love the light interior cars!!

+1 on Leatherique. I've heard great things about this. Here is a cool little article about the upkeep of some white interior that might provide some good insight.
I've also see some suggestions as far as water based leather cleaner, water based leather protector, and even white shoe polish. Never used that method myself, but have seen it. The reoccuring theme I notice is you should also clean your leather seats regularly with a wet cloth.

I have the same seats and I use Leather Honey on them and they've stayed pristine after almost 2 months of daily use.
If you use a leather cleaner, you must immediately condition them. The cleaner strips all the oil from the leather and dries it out and will make it susceptible to damage unless you condition them to add that layer of protectant. It's like using a strong soap on your car to strip off all the wax every week but only re-waxing every other week.

I've used Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner, and also Leatherique conditioner on off white leather seats. Another problem that is harder to clean is dye transfer from jeans, especially if they are overdyed.
