Outstanding.

Armrest and glovebox organizer!

A great start. Functional and looks good.

Some of us like the europarcel shelf for the added storage.
Classic auto campus and other vendors do sell it and it is easy to install yourself.

Short shifter might be worth a look too.

Enjoy.

har my first purchase was a dinky s2000 antenna from the local honda store ($18). Then i bought a keychain from my mini dealership (didnt like the one they gave me).

then i bought a glovebox org when it was one sale somewhere. and bonet stripes which promptly flew off cause i neglected to take off the 3 layers of wax on my bonnet. then i got new stripes. then i got tire valve covers. then...

basically, it will become a torturous (yet euphoric) disposable income nightmare, as you start eating less to feed the mini more. and more. and more. they are hard to please.

I saw the european parcelshelf too but I have to ration my purchases.

The antenna is a good tip. I saw a Corolla and a Matrix and they appeared to have the same antenna as my Shorty. WTF!!

Does a short shifter help getting into 6th gear? The first couple of times I hit fourth instead. I've learn to push it slightly to the right now.

Thanks. It's a closeout item from Moss Mini. I hope it looks as good in person as it does on the website.

i got it too (black on black).

It is nice, though now i dont have a full size third cupholder which matters not for me.

I wish it would extend more, but the extra storage is nice, and it looks like it belongs there. The seat incline lever is now very hard to reach also. oh well.

I was wondering how it would impact the lever. Hopefully, I don't need to adjust it too often.

AND the reception is quite decent, from the little time i spend listening to the radio (which is like... 1minute of 10hours). uhh... yeah.

tip #1: the euroshelf is worth it (imo). I would say that it was a better buy (for me, anyway) than the armrest cause you can reach it more easily, nothing will fall out, it is totally integrated and does not get in the way, and if you buy from classic mini (mentor, my hometown! har!) you should be able to get it for about $70 shipped. however, if you DO decide to get it, make classic fax you a quote, then you can run to your local dealer and make them price match, or just get it from classic. Either way, it is about $20+ cheaper than anyone else is listing at.

tip #1.5: I was also thinking of rigging the stock driver side bolster so that it will hold stuff, but then realized that i am a lazy piece of crap, and must not do so. But it would be worth a try if you are of a different composition.

tip #2: www.wheelskin.com (good pic at miniswag.com) has very nice steering wheel covers that are two tone and perforated (choose one or both sections) and they have free shipping which i dont believe mini swag does. I'm kind of proud because i emailed miniswag and let them know that wheelskin.com sells for cheaper and for free shipping, and the next time i checked, they had price matched, though they told me at the time that they didnt. HAR! I RULE SCHOOL! and maybe grad school.

tip #3: (see what happens when you encourage my behavior) when looking at SS kits, you may want to avoid the Pilo Racing kit. During release of the kit, they advertised it as a kit that they "developed", but when some research was done, it was concluded that the kit is the one and same as the meghan racing kit which is being sold on ebay for about $35 shipped (if you pick the right one... they label them crappily). Pilo is selling for $65 plus shipping. I ordered one anyway despite my suspicions and will try it out.

tip #4: do the rear fog-brake light mod (unless you have the rear fog light switch already). I THINK, even if you dont have the rear fog light switch, the bulb is still there, and even if it isnt, it is only a couple of dollars for some bulbs. The mod is cheap, easy, and lets people know that you are braking from farther, and more noticeably. Some say it's obnoxious. I say it makes for blind motorists behind you.

ok i'll stop before i get banned.

Perfect..Thanks! I do have the rear fog lights installed. I am thinking of the euroshelf but at a later date. I'll see how the armrest will hold up in the mean time. I didn't think about a steering wheel cover. It looks good. I bookmarked it and will come back to it later. I am going to pick up a checkered flag from cooperflags and I have an xpel kit for the bonnet and headlights that I need to install. Plus, I need to buy an alarm and cd changer..although an ipod or it's equivalent might work. Not sure yet.

Thats all for now!

Got my glovebox organizer thing. Fits nicely and helps me keeps things in order. Highly recommended.

Armrest received but not installed. It's a heavy piece and requires screwing three screws into the rear cupholder. Seeing that it probably can only hold a ice cream cone in it, I will take on the task and install it tonight. Waiting for the S2000 antenna still.

Now, I am cruising the wheels forum and performance forum. Oh, and suspension forum. I can see a pulley, ecu, intake, springs, and lightweight wheels call me.

Should you decide to do the Brake Light mod instead of the actual foglight switch install, here are instructions:

Thanks a lot! I like the brighter fog lights. The rear foglights were factoriy installed so the switch was already installed when I received the car. I am going to read the site some more and see how it can be incorporated.

I am seeing about exchanging the armrest for the factory parcel shelf. I decided I didn't want to drill any screws into my little cup holder so soon into ownership!

Oh I didn't realize it was a factory option now. That's cool. Good luck on exchanging your item! That's why I got the GotMINI.com Elbow Landing Device. $50 and no drilling required for the armrest. Of course since you're trying to do an exchange with Moss MINI, they also sell this armrest, so you might look into exchanging it as well!

That's a good looking armrest. They sell the factory parcel shelf so I am hoping we can do the exchange with only minimal hassles and charges. But we'll see.

How's the weather in SoCal? One of my friends is driving down to OC right now to visit his parents.

Weather is wonderful!! Last few days it's been like high 60's, low 70's night and day. Very comfortable, and great driving weather. A bit overcast, but still nice!

My first mod: the very first production Rogue Engineering Cooper S Intake

I got it overnighted from Rogue right before my 3600 mile trip to Canada, way back in August of 2002.
