Does anyone know where I might find the stock exhaust assembly (cat back) for a 2006 R53? Surly all of these perfectly good exhausts go somewhere when one is changed out for a shiny new stainless system!

Searches on Craigslist, Ebay, and local salvage yards have been fruitless. That is the other thing... It seems to be hard to find a salvage yard with any mini in it too (Columbus Ohio anyway.) Any help on that front would be appreciated too!

When these cars were a bit newer....yes....lots of good, usable exaust were sold...
But now most gen1 cars are 10+ years old....Used exausts are rare....And remember, the hangers changed positions in 2005 to get ready for the cabrio braces....so welding might be needed....

 

Most of them have holes in the boxes by now, especially near where you live. Save yourself the hassle and get a full stainless.

 

I ended up leaving mine out for the scrappers. They’re just way too heavy and bulky to ship and most people want them for nothing. Not worth the hassle
