I should be motoring by Friday!

If the weather holds out, I'll be motoring towards Kalamazoo (two sons at Western Mich Univ) on Saturday morning.

I live in the Detroit Metro area.

Looking forward to seeing you on the road!

Do you plan on driving your MINI through the winter?

Welcome to the roads of Michigan. If there are enough MINIs here in Mich we should plan a drive sometime.

I'm in Chicago, but my in-laws are in the Detroit area and my wife and I visit frequently.

The in-laws said they saw several MINI's at the Woodward Dream Cruise this year, so it would be cool if we made a serious showing next summer. Anyone interested?

There's a regional thread under MIni. Check it out. Satchmo, watch out for the construstion by the airport. I got to test out to run flats there when my car was 'bout two weeks old. They work great, just as promoted , but were very pricey to replace, at the time. I'm just south of the Kazoo area with a son at Western too. I'll keep an eye out for ya on the weekend as we motor the chores off the "Honey-do" list.

Thanks Sub. Luckily for me, I take I-69 and hit I-94 near Battle Creek, so I'll miss the airport construction.

I'll be looking for ya!

Also, a Michigan meet would be great!.... but I'm putting MINI away as soon as the salt hits the roads... ..... so it may have to wait until Spring for me!

I've had mine since the first of October. Prior to that I had seen 2 on the road.
Since then I've seen about 5 or 6 in the Detroit Metro area.
There is an IB that I keep seeing in the St. Clair Shores area but I'm not sure if it is the same one as it seems someone different is driving everytime I see it. I just think it would be strange that all the MINIs in my area are of the IB variety. Saw a Chile Red on my streeet this weekend and a black with bonnet stripes on 696 last week. Still not a lot but I've seen them more frequently in the last week or so.

As for an area MINI drive, I'm always up for motoring!

I mainly have been driving the Detroit area and have found some nice roads. Wish there were more twisties though.

So far some of the better drives I have motored on include Pontiac Trail (Ann Arbor to West Bloomfield), Commerce Road (West Bloomfield to Milford), Jefferson (East Pointe to Detroit). Not too many stop lights to contend with, nice fall folliage, and lakes everywhere.

Any other nice roads I should check out? :???: :???: :???: :???: :???: :???: :???: :???:
