Standard floor mats?

Because my Roadster is literally at the dock about 90 minutes north of me, I'm passing the time by obsessing on the smallest of details. So here goes my question for the Roadster owners out there. What do the standard floor mats look like? Any special floor mat for those of you that ordered the Mini Yours Satellite Grey interior? Hoping to post photos of my new Roadster, who I have dubbed Bugaboo, sometime mid-next week.

Hello, Congrats. See the "MINI Yours" in the link.

We have the GP2 JCW Front matts, they never had rears. Very soft velour and the JCW red pipping. These fit the R58 MINI Coupe' and the R59 MINI Roadster. Click the link to see the MINI yours floor mats.

The standard floormats are just black carpet with MINI logos on them. They're...unobjectionable.

I have the satellite grey leather dash, but I'm not too taken with the grey rimmed ones up above. The striped are sort of interesting. Red would really depend, I think, on the exterior color.

Huh, that's interesting: in that R57 with the Satellite Grey leather dash, the door rings are black. In my R59, they're silver.

It's Mini Yours Satellite Grey but not Soda, from what I can tell perusing the boards, that's an older version of the MY Satellite Grey, mine does not have the pattern on the side of the seats (although I do think that's nifty). I do have the dash, steering wheel and seating surfaces. I will absolutely post photos when the car gets here. Optimistically hoping for Sunday but I'm thinking it's more likely mid-next week.

I'll be curious to hear how the steering wheel wears. i've found that the grey leather(ette?) on the knee roll, right by the key fob slot get FILTHY from being touched so often.

I know. I hesitated but couldn't resist. My last three cars have been boring sedans so I decided just to go for what I wanted, not what was necessarily practical. Worse case scenario, I wash my hands before driving.

Oh, I support the decision. I had it in my build until near the end when I realized I'd checked so many boxes, I was staring down the barrel of a $40K MCS. Had to trim somewhere.

This thread has some, starting around the point this link should send you to: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post3753026

That exterior pic is either even less accurate than I said at the time, or I badly need to recalibrate the colors on my monitor. Probably both.

Niiicee. The vertical alloy set off the MINI yours, on piano black dash it would look great. Even on wood also.

Wood dash kits and handles

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ash-class.html

OR

Interior Trim Kit - RR Walnut Dash

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51459267031/ES2748773/

Match door handles. RR Walnut Wood

&

Door Handle RR Walnut Wood - Right

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51417316198/

That would look nice.

I love your car St_G. You did a very nice job of picking/combining the right interior pieces.

@ECSTuning - My husband's 2010 MCS has the English Oak (was offered at that point) - very nice stuff!

Yeah, they stopped offering the wooden dash insert about a month before I ordered. One of my trial builds was based around that and toffee leather seats. Always wished they'd had a toffee knee roll with leather dash option.

You may have started to pick up on the fact that I don't much care for the standard plastic dash.

At all.

I don't know how I missed this thread considering our interior . . .

I do like the aluminum very much but there isn't matching side door panels so that's kind of a deal breaker for me.
In all honesty I've come to really appreciate the black checkered look that ours came with.

The pattern on the side was a huge disappointment for my wife. We got pretty frustrated when they couldn't tell us what we would get, to the point were they told us it was coming with the seat side pattern... I have no idea why they abandoned it.
On the other hand I'm personally okay it's not there since it would have been a little too feminine for me considering the outside color of the car... a compromise!

TG, as you can tell from my pic I'm obviously partial to those CF door ellipses. They work well in your interior, drawing your eyes to the lighter grey highlights in your interior. I ended up staying with the aluminum alloy trim as it was a nice, simplifying compliment to the other CF interior bits I've integrated.

Those carpeted floor mats with the grey trim blend perfectly and look fabulous but I imagine they get dirty quickly. I'm a big Coco Mats fan because of the look and great durability. The pattern I chose might be too busy for the look you're seeking but they have others that might fill the bill...worth a look:

TG, beautiful car. I almost ordered kite blue. The dealer said they could get it for me as my order was placed right as it was discontinued but something about white silver spoke to me. Cant thank you enough for posting those photos, helps pass the time until my car arrives.

Gil, I have read about coco mars and like the idea of them.

Gil, That CF really works nicely with the aluminum.
CF is just a tad too busy for me but it doesn't stop me from really liking your combo!
There are a few areas I'm still struggling which are the plastic used around the the air vents, the door handles, and the hand brake handle. Not even mentioning how I actually like the silver rims over the chrome with our particular mini-yours interior but the none matching chrome rim around the climate control display drives me crazy

They really don't get dirty. It's only on the edge and it's a rubbery like vinyl which seems pretty durable. In addition we have a set of rubber mats for the winter season. Rubber mats in the winter in the upper states is a must in my opinion

Thanks for the compliment. MINI yours interior is really a commitment. You have to be on top of it at all time (which really isn't that hard at all) and with the sticker price if you don't want to go overly crazy for a MINI you find yourself having to make some options sacrifice in order to get it, the only thing I truly regret not getting the xenon lights. But for us we don't miss the MINI connected.

But believe me you are going to love your mini-yours

I very much appreciate everyone different taste and priorities, but for us I cannot imagine anything less than the MINI yours interior, it is so fitting to the roadster

Mini Connected is useless, but I am weirdly fond off the fact that album art shows up for music playing off of the flash drive I keep plugged in (have to periodically bring it in to add new purchases, which feels very 2005, but hey).

Sent from my phone using NAMotoring, which is why I've probably mistyped something.

Seeing the grey trimmed floor mats in your car kinda changes my mind on them. They look really nice.

+1 Yes, on the grey trimmed floor mats, it brings the whole interior together.

Got some coco mats from cocomats.com. They really dress up the interior nicely. Mine are the black / grey combination.
