some ac/radiator fan issues
So I'm new to the forum but I've ben reading a while and I've definitely utilized the search bar. I just got my '02 MCS in December and I have 72k miles on it. I just installed my ddmworks cai 2 days ago (love it btw) and yesterday my ac just decided to go out. I live in the panhandle of FL and its getting hot now. A lot of humidity.
Anyway my radiator fan has been running on the high setting for a couple months now but I thought that was normal because the engine getting hotter would cause it to run higher. I'm not sure if the low speed is working or not but I know that yesterday I turned on and off the ac and no fan kicked on or off. Ive heard the resistor could be bad? Also, I took it in for the level 2 inspection 2 weeks ago and yesterday I noticed around the coolant reservoir was really hot still after sitting for nearly an hour and a half. So I removed th cap to see my coolant was a thick brown color. So I'm not too happy with the dealer since they made no comment about it. So I'm taking it back to them tomorrow with my invoice they gave me from the inspection to see if I can get a free coolant flush out of them.
So with the fan not kicking on for the ac, could it all be linked to the coolant level probably never being changed and now its affecting the radiator fans?
