Just Dynamat this SUKKA!!
Hello Enthusiasts,
Been lurking on the CM forum for years. Owned an R56s for some time and the biggest detractor on the CM for us is the road noise.
I've read a couple posts of folks insulating noise one way or another, but has anyone just dynamited the hell out of a CM?
Thanks

Come join the CM family.
Happy Motoring!!
Autocorrect.
i agree that dynamat is both expensive and heavy.
i stumbled upon GTmat a few years ago; very affordable, very "light" weight product. 50sq ft should be more than enough to do your car. and i felt it drastically reduced a ton of road noise in my R53. after i posted my positive experience, others grabbed rolls and also reported great results.
its also very easy to work with imo. good and sticky, easy to cut, holds well, ect. they have various thicknesses, i think i just used the thinnest 50mil, but it goes up to like 110.

I was about to ask if the weight of dynamat really has an impact, but you've cleared it up and shared a viable solution. Gotta love this forum.
Really, I'm torn between the GLK Diesel and a CM modded with sound deadening material.
