disk brake air vents on a 2008 R56S

Is it possible -without replacing the whole bumper of a 2008 R56S- to fit those "disk brake air vents" that cool the brakes of the latest R56S?

The pre LCI JCW bumper also has the brake vents. You could always rig up your own brake ducts.

You could do a JCW Aero bumper and then the JCW Aero brake duct kit. Looks the best.

ECS, what would it take to go from a '07 Cooper S bumper to JCW? Just bumper and trim or are there several other parts that need to be swapped as well?

Traced the R56 LCI lower grille today and it matched the shape of my 2008 R56 S. You would need items 7, 8, 12 & 16 in the illustration.

The trace may be fine. But if you look at a LCI bumper cover, the lower black grille is more forward than a Pre-LCI bumper. So while the lower grille may fit, I'm not too sure the brake ducts will fit between the grill and bumper cover. There is a clearance difference there.

For a 2008 MINI Cooper S to JCW front bumper /w/ the brake ducts. I would go with the JCW Aero II kit that has the brake ducts. Little more aggressive lower lip and its two piece. Otherwise you go JCW Aero one and then ad the JCW brake kit. You can follow the diagram and numbers.

Check out here the explanation of the JCW Aero II front bumper and pics. Which you want the brake ducts , so its more your style.

#7 takes the place of number #6

JCW Aero Brake Duct Kit Part # 51192153998 For this when you install, you cut little holes in the wheel well fabric, which then the brake duct work connects to.

Change out the grille to match otherwise the lower grille lip will have to be modded to fit the Cooper S grille, plus it looks better with the JCW Aero front bumper in my opinion.

Here is the hardware , I gave you all of it , sometimes when you remove things from the old bumper the plastic rivets break or bend. This will give you the hardware with the totals so it install flush and correct.
Hardware:

#11 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51118174185/ x 2

#12 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51642753389/ x 10

#13 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51642752568/ x 6

#14 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51471911992/ x 3

#16 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51471911992/ x 4

#17 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/07129904150/ x 2

#18 http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/07147129160/ES16849/ x 2

There is not factory brake duct kit for the pre LCI Cooper S bumper to post LCI. Other then doing the JCW front bumper conversion. Which looks nice nice and aggressive in my opinion.

Whatever you decide this give you an opinion.

Thanks
