NGK Spark Plugs for 2011 R56 with N18 Engine

I can not seem to find out if the NGK spark plugs from the 2010 R56's (S) will work on my N18 Engine. Has anybody used these?

They used the NGK ILZKBR7A-8G on the N14 motor and switched to BERU on the N18 motor since it doesn't look like NGK makes plugs for the N18 motor.

"This does not fit your 2012 Mini (sic) Cooper S 1.6L L4 Distributorless Turbocharged [blah blah blah]"... Assume a 2011 N18 would say the same...

Anyone find the NGK Iridiums for the 2011+ R56 N18 engine yet? I guess the ILKR8E6 were for the earlier engines only?

I wouldn't rely on Amazon to make spark plug decisions for me. I use those plugs in my 2011 MCS.

u238...How many miles did you put on the stock plugs? How long have the NGK's been in your engine? I assume it is running fine. Any increases in MPG or feel/performance to report?

Thanks in advance.

I went about 40,000 on the stock plugs and I've only put about 1,000 on the new ones. There doesn't seem to be any perceptible change in performance. Unfortunately I don't track my MPG so I don't have anything to report there. The NGK's linked are the same heat rating as the Beru plugs that are stock, so imagine that they will perform basically the same.

I changed mine at 50k miles and didn't notice any difference anywhere. Remember these plugs use uridium being the second densest element, it will take longer than 50K miles to wear these plugs down.

I replaced mine mostly as a precautionary measure. A seized plug that breaks off could really ruin your day.
