Mixing amplifiers and speaker brands is not a problem as long as you match impedance. An 8 ohm amplifier needs an 8 ohm speaker for instance. You will find the common impedances to be 4, 8 and 16 ohms. If you run, say, an 8 ohm output into a 4 ohm load you will over heat and eventually burn out the amplifier.
PS: Every piece of electronic audio equipment has the impedance clearly marked on the box and on the back of the unit. The graphic symbol for ohms is the omega, i.e. Ω
