I just noticed on the WMW website that they're not going to sell any Alta parts anymore. Anybody know the reason for this?

 

My guess would be that Alta has a bad reputation. They make parts, not quality parts.

Call Way, I'm sure he will talk to you about it. Don't assume anything until you have.

 

considering alta also sells all of their own parts.....its probably not cost effective for Way to buy the parts, then sell them himself with a markup over what Alta can sell them for.

and it doesnt benefit alta any to sell them to Way at a discounted price.

There are many reasons, but the most important is that we had too many failures and fitment issues that would take too much time to try and fix or just couldn't. We had plenty of other parts that were better that we never have issues with that made much more sense to sell. We can still get their parts if a customer had to have it, but prefer not too. You'll also notice most the real MINI only shops around have also stopped selling their parts.

Sad thing is we have some other brands that we wish we didn't have to carry, but customers still want them even knowing the issues. This is where I have to realize this is my full time business and puts food on the table. Without it I starve and would be homeless. But I promise if you ask me about something I'll always give my honest opinion good or bad, even if it cost the sale.
