New wheel bearing failed after 5000 miles?

Shop replaced my right rear wheel bearing/ hub assembly about 5k miles ago and it's howling again. I can feel the play in the wheel without picking the car off the ground. What gives? I used a cheap one since my friend had an extra from before he sold his r53. I know my left rear camber is way off and needs to be aligned, could it be the reason the bearing failed so soon?

How did your rear camber get out of whack? It's not adjustable in stock configuration. Is the lower control arm damaged? While a bad camber setting could contribute to early bearing failure it's more likely to be a bad bearing out of stock.

Not sure if the camber on one side would destroy a bearing on the other....
Think you just had a cheap part fail.

You said it - using crap parts has a downside of them likely to fail prematurely.
What "cheap" bearing supplier did you use so that we can all avoid them?

Not likely.
However, your tires will pay for your mis-aligned car in short order.

Alignment has been out of whack since I bought it, I didn't realize it til I got home. Car had clean car fax but I'm guessing it as in an accident and was never aligned after. The bearing I believe came from 365 hubs or something like that. I only put it on because it was laying around. Thought it would last longer thou. My alignment is off enough that it is eating the inside on the left rear tire. Hopefully it will just need an alignment, praying there isn't hidden frame damage or something.

Low quality parts... Or improper installation. Either under torque or over torque will ruin a wheel bearing in a hurry. Seen it many times.

Thanks all I'm gonna agree with low quality hub. Where can I buy Timkins at a good price?
