Hello!

Am I correct in my assumption that, according to the diagram, you needed the small hose that comes off of the intake boot? If so, could you clarify what that part is? My MINI dealership said I'll need a new rubber intake boot soon and I'm wondering if the part you took from it is necessary for the install or I can use the existing one now and just replace the big tube.

Last question, is this the same part number for a JCW MINI?

Let me know if any of that didn't make sense, haha.

Thanks!

The part originally came with the small hose that stems off this main large intake boot. The small hose doesn't haven't a separate part # as it comes as 1 single part with the large intake boot. If you're dealer is saying you need a new rubber intake boot, then the part that's for sale here is very likely the one you need. You can simply re-use your old small tube with this new intake rubber intake boot.

My issue was that I needed to replace the small tube. My large rubber intake tube was fine. The large rubber intake tube is usually the part that fails. MINI doesn't sell the small tube by itself, hence I had to buy the entire assembly.

I don't know if this is the same part # as for the JCW. I'm going to guess it's not.

I just checked with my SA and she said it's not the same part # since I have a JCW, bummer. Hopefully these replies will get some more exposure for the post, though.

Thanks for your time!

Exclamation Exactly it

Do you still have this part?

I'm looking for the large intake box hose part 13-71-7-555-784.
