Suspension upgrade suggestions

Okay, I'm sure this has been discussed but I have to ask the experts. I just picked up a 06 MCS with 26k on the clock. Darn nice car with some nice power mods. Cat back, pulley, intake and tune. It needs control arm bushings and I'll go with power flex for sure. I want to improve the suspension and lower it a little. Not opposed to coil overs but wondering if some good struts and springs with some camber plates could do the trick? Car has NM 17's on it with good 215 tires from Hancook. My last 06 was a GP. all I did to the suspension was bushings, Ireland fixed camber plates and a bigger rear sway bar. I will be mostly canyon carving and weekend driving as it's my second car. Just want to get it right the first time. Don't want a harsh ride but do want a responsive chassis. Please give me some ideas. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

GP1257.

Coilovers will probably be too harsh for you.
I would recommend sport springs and good shocks to match them. If you go with a mild set of springs (1/2"-3/4" lower) you won't need to bother with camber plates. The small amount of additional negative camber will be useful.
Oh yea, an adjustable rear sway bar is a must.

I'm running H-sport springs with Koni adjustable shocks, powerflex CABs both front and rear and H-sport adjustable sway bars both front and rear. I couldn't be happier with this set-up (after getting everything dialed in). It's pefect for extremely spirited street driving.

Many people will argue that a front sway is not necessary and may even negatively affect handling, . . . . . but I suspect they haven't driven my car.
