Have been pulled over for emission mods in Cali and now I have to visit a referee to have the car Smoged . It needs to go back to stock, even the damn boost tubes.. Interested in your exhaust if it's still available. PM me

 

Since when do you get pulled over for smog mods in SoCal??

 

The Po Po will pull you over for anything, my window tint, exhaust noise, no front lisense plate, speed or anything else like a unsafe lane change....they said I was in a hurry, but doing under 40mph, then said I was loud and started to ask what I had done to the car, said changed muffler and then they asked about engine...spark plugs, I said, then...step out of the car and let me take a look..AEM intake had no CARB sticker, methanol line and catch can looked out of place, so issued a referee fix it ticket, the rest is history!

 

Yup. Any excuse is good enough. Got pulled over for window tint with my Integra a few years ago. They had me step out of the car and pop the hood. Luckily everything had a Carb #, but I still left with a tint and exhaust fix it ticket...

 

I live in Irvine, my JCW is louder than most, I got pulled over for window tint and the cop asked me if I had modified the intake and I said nope because I haven't other than an a BMC filter, he said my car is too loud and same thing step out of the car, he didn't believe me so I opened the hood and surer as S**T it was stock...he said ok have a nice day, never gave me a ticket, never even noticed that I don't run a muffler. Key thing is that the aftermarket CAI don't really give you any horse power but only let you hear the turbo noises.
