I'm sorry but I couldn't find the thread on the YAHOO auction of a CHrysler MINI COoper. SO I'm posting this here. I emailed the guy and although I don't think my response was very rude, I just got this by email:

"Hey buddy, you and all the other ignorant people who emailed me about the same problem obviously have no lives because I am not the person who puts the adds for the cars online. The person who did this for me simply made a mistake and it will soon be fixed. I received emails from people calling me a retard and all of these other offensive names just because someone else made a silly mistake. So if you people have nothing better to do than make comments when you don't know the situation and it makes you feel better by correcting something when showing rudeness than go ahead. I couldn't care less!!!!!!!"

What a @#$#% !

Wow imagine that...yet another reason you'd never want to buy a car from this guy!

Put yourself in this guy's shoes for a minute. He's just trying to make a living, and all of a sudden he gets a barrage of e-mails, some of them apparently rude, about something that he didn't even do. I don't agree with the way he said it, but I guess I agree with what he said.

I am not sure if this was an ad that was put out or what. But, I have rare trucks and rare dogs. In my opinion, if you are going to sell something, whether it be dogs, cars, or trucks (antiques, whatever), then you should do your research before having an ad placed with your name on it.

My dogs are French Bulldogs, not "pit bulls" or "boston terriers" or "some kind of weird pug thing". My trucks are GMC Syclone and Typhoon not "Jimmy" not "S-10". And, my MINI is a MINI, not a Chrysler and not a BMW. I will continue to inform people and I think that who ever sent that guy a correction did the right thing. If he can't take the corrections like they are meant, for educational purposes, then he should not be selling the car.

Let's look at what really happened here. Someone on this forum pointed out the mistake in the ad and also mentioned that they had e-mailed the dealer letting him know about it. The dealer responded with a polite e-mail thanking the person for informing him about the mistake. Then, for some reason, several more people from this site felt the need to e-mail the guy and continue to point out the mistake, even though they knew that it had already been brought to his attention. Some of them even used words like "nincompoop" and "moron." Definitely NOT cool in my book. That's when the dealer went ballistic.

My concern is that things like this do nothing but give MINI owners a bad name.

Cool, we have the OK !

I do feel bad for the guy. It's not his fault, but he's taking all of the heat for it!

Actually, the orginal poster never said they'd emailed. They simply pointed out the mistake.

My concern is the continued ignorance that abounds regarding the MINI.

But that's just me.

Cheers,

Leslie

What ever happened to the delete key? If he was getting irritated at all the e-mails, why bother to respond? And also, if you're hiring someone to do work for you, it might be helpfull to check it once and a while...
