First time at the track...
There was a small Mini event up near my house in Hacketstown NJ today. We had a small but enthusiastic turnout. Here was my best run..
0-60ft 2.334
15.023 @ 91.23

Reaction Time.434

I bested a MCS Works car and my reaction times were not good. I only found out till my last run to hit it when it hit the bottom light before green on the tree.
Now I want to break into the 14's.. Should be that hard if I can just get my reaction times quicker than .400. Problem was my tires, had a hard time getting traction off the line.

the way I understand it:
reaction time it the time from when the light turns green to when your tire breaks the staging light.
your ET is the time from breaking the staging light to breaking the 1/4 mile trap light (independent of reaction time) 15.03 is very good
the time to 60' is the time from breaking the staging light to breaking the light at 60'...this is the time that tells the efficiency of hook-up. if you get in the low 2.0 -2.3 second range, you are kicking butt for a FWD mini; 2.3 is very good.

hmm
Quite frankly I was confused most of the day, espcially when I was asked to dial in.. Of course I bested my best time and lost...
But my car really surprised me, just too much wheel spin off the line... And I kept forgetting to leave the DSC off, that is a cure for wheelspin btw. ")

Very close to sub 15 time!
Felix,
Nice job and great numbers.
No aftermarket cat-back exhaust?
No sticky non runflat tires like falken Azenis Sport?
No lightweight aftermarket rims? (Borrow some?)
No Quaife Limited slip differential?
Practice Practice Practice.

Andrew's MCS with JCW kit and K&N intake only got
0-60ft ???
14.201 @ 98 mph
Greg's MCS with JCW kit only got
0-60ft 2.578
14.715 @ 94.75 mph
MiniPilo's totally stock MCS got
0-60ft 2.399
15.578 @ 88.47 mph
These are all good numbers!
variables
There are too many variables to take into account at the track(weather etc), but that stock number was VERY good for a stock S... Much better than the posted times by professional drivers testing the car... Mine has a 19%, and it was my first time so I am sure I could get better times.
andrews numbers are unreal
"Andrew's MCS with JCW kit and K&N intake only got

98mph? How can you get up to that speed with just a jcw kit? I wonder if he has stock wheels and tires..
