Be sure and go to a place called South Mountain. Fun little ride up and down.

Nice MINI, surprised I have not seen you around town. I never thought about driving up South Mountain, it's like our own mini Dragon.

Been a while since I've been up there. Looks like I need to make the trip again, but think I'll wait for fall, too dang hot now.

I'm in north Scottsdale but work in down town Phoenix. AZdsrt, remember, the higher you go the cooler it gets. Never mind, we can't get high enough to get out of this heat.

Ya, south mountain is just not high enough. Wife and I drove the Mini up to Payson last weekend, was warm during the day, but down to mid 70's by early evening, ahhhhhhh....

You guys need to share. I don't find that road listed so why don't one of you send that run in so others can find it.

Rider Comments:

I took this ride on a 1984 Honda Aero 50 scooter. It was a blast, just like cars, going fast on a slow bike is more fun than going slow on a fast bike. The ride once you enter South Mountain Park is all 25mph, so scooters, even 50cc, should do fairly well. But you have to keep your speed up or you'll be wishing for a bigger bike. It was my first real ride and couldn't have been better. - J. Bramlette (3/14/10)
A short ride from downtown Phoenix to a climb up South Mountain. A favorite for sport bikes and cruisers alike. Desert scenery and tight curves ending with a view of Phoenix from the top of the mountain. On the weekends, look out for bicycles. - Rider from Phoenix, Arizona (6/10/06)

Hello. I noticed you have the cravenspeed oil dipstick. I literally just ordered one. What are you opinions so far?

Come down to Tucson and take Catalina Highway. 22 miles to the village of Summerhaven and it's high enough that the temps are cool up there.

Good enough! I only took a quick look and didn't see it listed. Motorcycle roads is a constant companion on road trips.

Completely agree. If its a fun twisty road for a bike, its heaven for us as well.

I went to that site a few times already and will probably do Wickenburg next week.

I like it a lot more than stock. Now I can pull it out and read the level on first glance. However, I always check it 2-3 times just to make sure I get the same reading each time. I would buy it again.

Good to know. From what I understand, if its not at the top, its not full. Seems simple enough.

I am looking forward to using this thing. Not exactly thrilled with the OEM.

Well, I have mine now and wow...it is VERY easy to read. I like it so far. From what I understand it gets hot but that shouldn't really be a problem if I plasti dip it.

One more shot on South Mountain.
