sway bar help

Just got my sway bar for my 2014 JCW..i noticed the subframe bolts are not the 16 MM as the directions..but these star looking things. I have seen and have sockets for the female type star bolts, but not the male type. ANyone know what I need to buy to get these out??

I ran into the same problem on my 2014. It seems they changed the bolts for the 2014's.

I went to Lowe's and they had a nice set of the necessary sockets with both internal and external torx sockets.

Got my new tools and got the VIP 23mm sway bar installed. Used middle hole. Pretty straight forward.did it by myself. Just got done going for a ride. Not bad. rides normal on the flat roads and my dirt road. twisties are much improved by not overwhelming. Might try the stiffest setting in a few weeks.

Do you basically take off the old and put on the new? Do you have to remove any other parts of the suspension? Can someone with limited mechanical experience do it (me)?

Yes, removed old and installed new. Both rear shocks must be removed. Go to nm-eng website for nice color instructions. here is link.
