So, who's going, which legs are you driving, are you going coast to coast, do you know that MINI5280 plans on a sleepover in Snowmass Village the night before MTTS hits Grand Junction on it's CO stop?

Do you know what the clubs plans are for that night?

Do you wish to volunteer briefly at MTTS/MITM this year?

and if all that is a negative, at least we can all agree that pie is better than cake!

Here is what I am planning:
I am going from Snowmass on July 28th (Monday) to Grand Junction Tuesday, to Sandia MINI (Alb. NM) Wed., Lubock TX Thursday, Austin TX Friday, Dallas TX Saturday and then back to Longmont CO on Sunday.

 

I'm not completely sure of plans yet, but I don't think we'll be able to make the sleepover, though we plan to be in Grand Junction.

 

The Nebraska Delegate is going all the way! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help during the evening event.

We are MTTS registered and hotel'd for Grand Junction through Dallas. We may take 2 days to return home from Dallas. We would like to stay overnight in Snowmass the Monday night before GJ and convoy there from Denver.

 

Are you skipping Austin in favor of Amarillo?

Driving back to Denver the long way on the 31st/1st (?) via Santa Fe and Taos if anyone wants to join me.

Current plan, maybe Snowmass for the night, for sure GJ, ALB, Lubbock, Austin, Dallas, then back to Austin the caravan back to Louisville with the kids and grandkids.

If the kids cancel, then I will do Memphis, St. Louis, then back to home.

I'm planning on doing the whole route, but I don't know if I can take the time off to drive Bruno across the country twice. ;-)

Has there been any talk about shipping cars to/from the end points?

 

There has been a lot of discussion on the FB MTTS page, if you are on FB, check that out. Some folks I have seen are going East to West on transport and driving back, I am sure some westies are possibly trucking the MINI back from the East.

Perhaps you can get something going with some folks.

We are joining in on Snowmass, Grand Junction, and Albuquerque. Just found out this week I'm able to go!

 

Nothing definite yet but possibly hopping in Memphis, TN, going to St. Louis, Chicago, then hopping off at Cleveland, OH.


How does this work, they publish the route and everyone goes along the route? Can't imagine its a caravan and nobody getting lost over those distances.


Being my first year this will be my "test" year. Being a Midwesterner it would be tough to drive to the west coast to start, drive to the east coast then back to the Midwest.

 

I joined MTTS in 2012 in Nashville, partied, enjoyed, and headed back home through Memphis (I live in Arkansas). This year we plan to meet MTTS in Memphis, enjoy Beale Street and the FedEx Forum parties, then travel to St. Louis and do the evening event and the NASCAR track the next day before heading back home via Kansas City. Such a great event; lots of MINIs, great people, lots of fun, a little Swag, and great rides. Enjoy!!

 

All, I am putting togehter a volunteer list for the Grand Junction eventing event. we are working with MTTS for the club to help out with parking. We need approximately 10-15 people to assist as parking guides to get all the MINIs in the main parking area. We are still working details with MTTS but is should be only a couple hours on the eventing of 29 Jul. If you would like to volunteer please respond in this post and provide your name and T-shirt size. Yes you will get a MITM 2014 T-shirt.

For the MINIs in the Mountains teaser for 2015, we have arranged an overnight stay for those that want to spend the night with us Monday night the 28th of July in Snowmass at the Wildwood hotel ($109 rate). Then we will take a nice twistie run thru the Mountains to Grand Junction and beat the MTTS groups and cheer them on into GJ.
