Yet Another Trans Oil Thread...
Just putting this out there, hope to get the correct info...
I've got an 05 Cooper S, production date 9/2004, 6 speed manual.
Question is which trans oil to use?
I've searched and come up with more Questions!
Some say use MTL, some say MT90, some say MTF LT-3, some say D6, D4... etc... So which is it? I'm tending to go with Redline D6 as the realoem site says MTF LT-3(for my VIN). But then... I'm told don't use that if it has LSD... Not sure if it has LSD, or how to know? Trans has NO "fluid sticker", but has part #: 23007531770-01 and 0122220BKE on it. Anyway maybe we can get some TRUE answers on which fluid goes in what version Trans and how to tell what you have. Then make it a "Sticky" for future use.
