Drivetrain Edelbrock Pro-Flo Universal Filter?

Edelbrock Pro-Flo Universal Filter?
I ran across this link when looking for a replacement air filter. Anyone have experience with this company? I am curious if this could be swapped for a K&N. I like the idea of this filter being longer and having an open inner cone:

Looks as if they have adapters to fit different size air inlets, and the closest adapter to MINI's size is 3".
