Custom Mini sub Enclosure R53 (Tons of Pictures)

I recently upgraded my front speakers and then lost bass. And this was my solution lol.

I had the sub and Amp already not the best but will do the trick for now and can upgrade or replace when the time comes.

I also had wood in my garage from other projects.

The only thing i bought was the carpet and silicone to seal the box.

First I took some rough measurements and cut close to dimensions

after a crap ton of time and trimming i finally got the top piece where I wanted it. Fit snug.

The front the part closer tot the hatch is 6 inches the part to the rear next to seats is 7 inches.

I also trimmed out the box so the amp had a nice little cubby to hide everything nice and neat

Feel Free to ask any questions happy to help anyone else wanting to take the task. all in all it wasn't overly hard just time consuming and a few beers

And Please over look the messy garage. Had the boy (lab) out helping me can catch him in some the pictures lol

Great job! Har you connecting this to the H/K-system or do you have the basic model? Please do a write-up regarding the wires also. Would be at great help!

I have a non HK system.

Im running a Kenwood BT958HD

so wiring was simple as well with the battery located in the rear the only wiring i had to run was the Power on wire and RCA cables.

Still very happy with the set up and sound is pretty awesome for a single 10!

Looks good. Only potential issue I see is overheating the amp due to lack of airflow to keep it cool. Keep an eye on the temp. You should know pretty quickly if it starts to overheat.

Also one of my concerns. I have been checking it after a 30 min commute I checked and wasn't overly hot.

Thought to fix this is add a computer fan to the remote on switch and find a way to mount it.
