Is the 2014 Countryman S Automatic Transmission "Sealed"?

Took delivery of a 2014 Mini Countryman S Automatic a few weeks ago, and I noticed there is no dipstick for the transmission... at least I can't see one.

Does that mean it is "sealed" like the previous mini automatic transmissions? Hope not... I think transmission fluid needs to be changed... every other car I've owned with an automatic required a transmission fluid flush and fill at least every 40,000 miles or so.

it is not "sealed", but mini says the fluid is lifetime, lifetime of the warranty i suspect they mean

checking the fluid is not straight forward on the assin xmission

there is a tube that screws into the drain hole that acts as the level set, it is already in there, the drain plug "follows" it in, it has to be removed to drain the fluid

the fluid has to be at the correct temp and the trans has to have been moved through all the different positions (forward, rev, N) prior to checking

there are threads here with detailed info

my all4 is manual, but my sisters all4 is an auto .... we will be changing the fluid every 3 years or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first!
