Drivetrain Add JCW rear exhaust section to 2004 R53
Add JCW rear exhaust section to 2004 R53
Hello All,
I am looking for a little confirmation before pulling the proverbial trigger on the rear section of a JCW exhaust from ECS tuning. They have the rear section for just under $400.00 dollars. Sounds like a good deal... but I have the following questions for anyone that can help...
1. Are the Pipe diameters to be a direct fit?
2. Should I go ahead and replace all exhaust clamps and hangers?
3. Is there any type of sealer I should use when changing out the exhaust?
I assume I will get a little bit of a bump in sound pleasure when driving and pushing the RPMs a bit...
Any thoughts?
Thanks to all that read,

If you are going to buy it buy the whole kit Front, Rear and Tips.
Also watch the shipping cost I have been watching it for sometime, but the total with shipping to me is basically the same as my dealer.

I have the JCW and my girlfriend has the stock S. It is louder and has a nice note in the higher RPMs, It also backfires more, however if your looking for more sound i would go with a different exhaust, I just bought a Magnaflow for mine because the JCW is loud but not like a real deep toned performance exhaust. Its what you like though, the JCW does sound pretty good when you step on it. Im making a before and after video, if you'd like I could post just the sound of my JCW for ya?
