Grey Seats

I love the grey seats on a dark body car. My MA told me that after 6 months the grey leather seats stain from jeans and there is often a clear difference between the driver and passenger seats after a few months.
Anyone have any experience or comments. I was going to swap my seats till I heard this!

I cant imagine how grey seats would be any harder to keep clean than mine. I have Beige seats in my 2010 and have not had any problem keeping them clean. Regular cleaning/conditioning is the key for leather.

Maybe because they a very light? Maybe he said that trying to make me feel better about my choice? Not sure why he would make a comment like that.

My cool blue 2006 has grey seats, don't notice any difference between the front seats. The rear ones are "cleaner" because they rarely get used.

Lounge Satellite Gray or Leather/Cloth Diamond Gray? Either way under normal conditions color should not transfer. If the jeans were damp or wet and not color fast then yes transfer could be an issue. Lighter colors show dirt more than darker ones, but just like a darker color cars require more effort to keep looking good, lighter color interiors require more effort, but if you like the look it should be worth the effort. Just apply some rational thought to this, if you expect to jump in your car covered in mud, grease, soaking wet, or covered in something sticky then you will stain your seats. Otherwise, it isn't anything to worry about, just be as careful as you would anyway, with your new baby.

Tom. Already ordered the darker seats but they are open to a swap. Thanks for the input. Satellite Grey Leather. I ordered the black leather sports seats.

I've ordered Leather/Cloth Diamond Gray and decided the extra effort to keep them clean will be worth it, although I might regret that if they become dirt magnets. I'm going to see the Leather/Cloth Diamond Gray in person tomorrow at my dealer's Open House, so at least I'll know what it looks like live vs. the configurator.
I do think that the light color Gray looks sharp with a dark exterior also. I'm hoping that once my BRG II gets here the light interior will look sharp.
