What's the Highest Speed You've Driven Your Mini?
Luckily I did not get pulled over for going 119. However, I was pulled over going 96. I didn't realize the car behind me was a cop. I kept speeding up and so did he...then, the lights went on. He asked me why I was in such a hurry....I said, "Because it's a new car and I just couldn't help myself."... He gave me a warning and told me to slow down....I was thinking...What?...Did I just get out of a ticket? Wow!

135 is as far as I've taken it. That was on 195/55R16 Goodyear Eagle GT, so I'm sure the speedo was a little off. Also I dare not go faster than that on those tires. I'm running 215/45R17 Michelin PSS now, so I'll have to give it another go some other time. Like ojedam64, I also have a few law enforcement friends that assist me
Safety first!
EDIT: I also forgot to mention, this was before my tune and several upgrade that I've installed in the last 8 months... I can't wait to give it another go once I get my intercooler and stage 3 tune

Is the reply only limited to the Texas group? Not sure if this is a group or just location in Texas to compare.
Not from or near Texas, but 141 in my R56 and R55 and 120+ in my R50.
Both of my 2nd gen cars just got there and sat, no rude governor like my previous US cars.
The 1st gen, I recall seeing it passing 120 but I don't know how far as I was a little bit busy watching other things at that time; meaning the car on the other side of the road who wanted to turn around and follow me

GPS recorded 140mph on the runoff area, with a 135.9 in the actual speed trap of the Texas Mile in spring 2013. As others have noted...more is available

I started going up a slight hill at that time, so I'm not sure if the hill kept me from going fast, aerodynamics pushing me back, or I just needed more powa! Maybe all 3. We traded numbers from the cars and traded congrats. He was on his way to another easter celebration and I wanted to drive for another few hours. It was a pretty good day.
Now, once I get an intercooler and stage 3 tune I'll have to try it again.
It was a good weekend. Dry and sunny. Traffic was limited in the county over where my State Patrol friend resides. I set my tach display to give me a digital speed readout on the larger screen. There are some twisties prior to the longer stretch. I got up to a good click, radioed to my buddy, roads are clear, came out the last turn and launched down the straight. Once I hit top end it was switching between 145-146 on the digital readout. The patrol cars radar gun clocked me at 145.8.

Great to hear this...IIRC advertised top end is 145 on the MCS, looks like they can get there! And: nothing like having some LEO help for accuracy and safety!
Countryman Cooper S ALL4 here, have had it up to the mid 130's a few times, for more than a solid mile; it's definitely drag limited, fastest speed indicated on the digital speedo was 137, with the stock run-flats. This was in a couple states north of Texas, btw.
Rode sportbikes down in the hill country a few years ago, beautiful scenery and roads, and mostly vacant!, lots of high speed runs then too, in Texas if you're not speeding your not getting anywhere in a practical time frame, IMO; San Antonio to Del Rio ride formulated that opinion.
