Ok I'm confused. Earlier this year I attended the Miami Auto show where I really fell for the Mini Clubman S on display along with half the cars on display. I'm currently planning to sell my 04 Discovery and am looking at a much more frugal but truly exciting small ride. So I'm thinking, why not the Clubman S?

So I go online Mini USA and I build this beautiful example, priced it, and then submitted it to Braman Mini, while also scheduling an appointment to drive one since I've yet to drive a Mini.

I went to the dealership today and, of course they didn't have a manual equipped Clubman. So I said ok lets drive the auto. The car they had was nothing like I'd built online but I was pretty certain that the hard sell would come and it did. I of course didn't pay much attention to the sales talk except for being told by the Sales Manager that:
1) the last Clubman his Dealership is getting is on the Dock;
2) BMW is no longer making Clubmans?!

So I came to you guys for your input. Is there even an atom's worth of truth to this? Is the Mini Clubman out of production? Is getting a 2014 Mini Clubman with manual transmission and customized the way I built it online just a pipe dream?

I could have sworn that since Mini brought it to an International Auto show this year that it would definitely still be in production. Also, why would you still be able to build it online the official Mini site? None of this makes any sense to me.

HELP! Please educate me on what's up at Mini.

 

Yup, they are done.

There was a rumor they would be produced up into early June... But mid April seems to be the true cut off. Mini will launch the 5 door Mini (F55?) soon..

 

First check with other dealers.
You stated that the sales Mgr said THEY had no more slots.
This doesn't mean another dealer doesn't have any.
You might have to start calling fast and be ready to fax your build sheet.
The MA @ Tinley Park said they had a few slots left, and could put them in till May 1st.
I'm looking at ordering another just to put aside for a bit, and abuse mine before driving it!
Not sure yet, still convincing the wife.
You could always hand them the sheet and let them locate you one even faster that MAY be sitting in another state.
