Black wheels?

I am thinking of ordering the 17" Black Cosmos Spoke alloy wheels on my upcoming MCS order.

Any concerns or comments on keeping these wheels clean (mainly warmer weather use only as I would have separate wheels/winter tires)?

Thoughts?

Someone made a comment in this forum about how difficult they were to keep clean

I went with these exact wheels on my '14 British Racing Green MINI Cooper S. I didn't want silver, and black go well with the green paint. I think they will be no more difficult to keep clean than a silver wheel.

I ordered them on my F56 and have them on my R56 and love them. That's always the first thing people ask me about is the wheels. I find they don't show break dust as bad at the silver ones but being black they do show scratches more just like a black car does. I think you guys will love them.

Do black wheels scratch easier or are scratches more apparent? Is it a black coating that strips off to show the silver alloy underneath?

It would depend on the finish itself. I am hopeful that these wheels don't have a cheap, thin coating. An actual scratch would be more noticeable on a black wheel, of course. But I'm willing to risk it. I am especially careful with my vehicles.

I really love the anthracite option on the CM wheels. They're basically black with a matte finish. They don't really show brake dust and they're easy to clean. I wish the F56 had some like that. Gloss black is as bad as silver in my opinion.
