And something called the "MINI Traveller" aka the "long Countryman"

Oh, I don't believe it for a second...at least not for the US version. No way it gets more than 250 and I think it'll be more likely 225.

Oh, don't get me wrong; I'd love that much power and would seriously consider trading up!

Interesting, with the plan to share platforms across the BMW X1s and MINI CMs the sharing of production seems likely. At first I thought the 300 HP seemed outrageous but pulling up the current BMW X1 with the larger engine in the 35i model is equipped with the 3.0 twin turbo inline 6 currently produces 300 HP, so it seems probable. I can't wait!

i know mini will show a new countryman this week at the NY auto show, supposed to have some changes to it so it does not seem a long wait till the 2018 versions.

anybody knows what the 2015 countryman look like? I just ordered mine and it will arrive may/june and now just saw an article that 2015 model will have some changes exterior & interior. if 2015 is much nicer I might just cancel my order and order the 2015 model in few months as soon as the dealer start accepting orders.

Assuming they follow the usual facelift on the 5th year, there should be some changes for 2015-2017. I haven't seen any rumors yet, however.

The ALL4 models could definitely use more HP and Tourqe to get the models with manual trans off the line!! There is nothing like having to rev to 3K just to take off from the line with any sort of "spirit"!

Late addition in here, but for those people used to Imperial Units, a 4.4 meter long countryman would be about 1 foot longer than the current 2014 models.

Yup, and the next Clubman (F54) is going to be 6" longer than the current Countryman.

The 2015 will look pretty much like what the 2014 looks like. There are some minor updates to the headlights and taillights, and apparently, the LED "halo" fog lights that some have been installing in their bumpers will now be standard. There will be a couple of new colors (I know there's been a green shown, but I'm not sure what else), and the S model now gets a chrome strip running across the lower part of the front grille. Also, the S will receive approximately a 10 hp bump in power. That's pretty much it. The all-new Countryman will be out in approximately 2018, from what's been reported.

I would love a factory off-road option for the Countryman.

Also I had read somewhere the 2015 update includes a skid-plate as standard now. I guess more people were actually taking them off-road than they had thought...
