R56 battery terminal replacement!?
battery terminal replacement!?
I recently purchased a new battery for my 08mcs and when installing the new battery I noticed the terminals did not clamp tight enough around the battery. They can easily be disconnected even when tightened fully.
Is it as easy as just cutting the terminals off and installing new ones such as these below?http://contentinfo.autozone.com/znet...06071/image/3/

You could replace the connectors or you could just shim the new terminals with something like this http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...ntifier=257147 or your own diy equivalent. There's nothing wrong with your oem battery connectors; unfortunately your new battery has undersized terminals. I'd try the shims first.

I used a slab of copper to shim mine
if the store boughts are too big .... file them down or spread the car connector (with a screw driver ... not complicated)
Hollywood told me id throw an airbag light if I changed them? Sounds illegitimate but want to be sure.
