i've been looking for hours trying to find the one on the top side of the engine. Every post i find shows a picture of the n18 or another version of the engine, and it's basically right next to the turbo inlet pipe. i've gone as far as removing the inlet pipe to try and find it but no luck. If anyone has a picture of it, that would be most remarkable.

Use a flashlight and flash it in this general area. You'll see a + and use a long flathead to undo the bleeder.

 

my good man, this is twice you've saved me. That screw is REALLY good at hide and seek. Probably didn't help that my engine is dirty either :-/

lol. no worries! I wish it were easier to access, I have no clue what MINI was thinking when they placed it there...

 

Hi guys, I can't see the pic. Is the bleeder screw on the thermostat housing in the base engine?
