Long time dream attained! I'm now a MINI owner!

Had always longed for a MCS from afar for years. Never had the opportunity or ability to own one until last night when I was finally able to close the deal! Almost a surreal feeling to finally drive off in my own!

She is a 2011, manual with only 20,800 miles, and I got for a song of a price (at least I think so).

I look forward to learning more about these cars seeing as I am the village idiot when it comes to mechanical things. Really hope to be able to start changing my own oil and doing some of the most basic of maintenance myself. With that said, brace yourself for an onslaught of dumb questions. I promise to try the search feature before doing so though!

Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

I have an 09 - so we have the same motor. Watch your oil level like some kind of lunatic. You may have one that does not use a drop, but lots of them need some every few weeks. Listen for rattle scraping sounds from under the hood at start up. Timing chains issues are not something to ignore.

Join up with a local club, you will meet great people with lots of experience and advice and you will have a ball with your car.
