Can you use a vacuum bleeder on an R56???

I have a Vacula brake bleeder...

It works wonders on any of the Japanese and domestic brands I've done brakes on, but I've heard the BMW/MINI setup doesn't like/tolerate the vacuum systems. Has anyone used an air-based vacuum bleeder on an R56?

This would make doing the brakes and clutch a piece of cake, but I'm not about to experiment without doing research first.

For what it's worth I had an Audi and that kind of device worked fine on the brakes but not on the clutch. The slave cylinder needed more pressure and required a pressure bleeder. The vacuum bleeder also worked fine on my Cayenne. I did invest in a pressure bleeder because of the Audi clutch so I'll be using that on the MINI.

Thanks guys!

While we're on the topic... What's the bleed procedure? (i.e. LR, RF, RR, RF?)

Always start bleeding from the point farthest from the resevoir, and work your way closer to it -- RR, LR, RF, then LF.

I have a simlar Vacumn bleeder that runs off my air compressor. Works AOK on mini although if I bought again I would get the pressure bleeder as it is faster IMO.
