Jack car up with Aero Kit installed

So after my last pothole fiasco, I decided to get a spare tire to go in the trunk.

One thing that I see conflicting reports on is when I need to jack the car up. I have the JCW aero kit on my car, and I THINK that if I try to use a jack as-is, I risk bending the plastic side skirts?

I've read that I can use some spacers like these, but is this necessary?

I want to make sure I have everything I need in the trunk.

i put blocks on mine (#4) in order to lift it to put the exhaust on, i just don't trust the look of the frame folds.

this leaves it unresolved if the extensions are needed or not with the aerokit. Mical, one vote no, Hujan one vote yes. both VERY respected here.

and i feel ya on the potholes, i had to have a tire replaced a couple weeks ago because a blown out sidewall. the east coast is dethawing...

Yeah I was in that thread, and that's what got me tripped up. One says yes, one says no.

I'm not as concerned about the luxury of my garage where I can use a 2x4 and a hydraulic jack...I'm more concerned with if I break down on the side of the road and I have to use my scissor jack.

The scissor jack should be used at the frame fold just outside the removable rubber plug (where the jack pads go). Cheaper option than the jack pads is to use a hockey puck.
