2007 Base to S Brake Master Cylinder Interchage

Hi all,

I've searched the web and these forums and can't confirm if the master cylinder interchanges between the Base and S R56 cars. I have an '07 S in need of a new cylinder. Anyone know?

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks for the tip. With your info I called the dealer and they verified the interchange. I should have been able to figure this out myself but there is so much confusion with a lot of vendors -- especially the overlap of the 1st Gen convertible with the 2nd Gen car.

Thanks,

Mark

You are welcome.

The R52 MINI Convertible / S ( W10 & W11 engines ) continues from Gen 1 2005 - 2008. Where as the Gen 2 R56 MINI Cooper ( N12 ) and Cooper S ( N14) started in 2007. That helps with a bunch of things on the overlap years.

Thanks again

Yes, *I* know that, but it seems many vendors don't. I find all kinds of bum application information during the years the convertible overlaps, and many show the master cylinders not exchanging between Base and S, so I wanted to make sure. Thanks for your help.

Your welcome again. Did not know if you knew the chassis overlap terms and years that well. Sounds like you got it.
