Don't know if this is too late or if it will help you but....
I bumped up my tire size to 235/45/R19 with no issues.
Of course, you'll have to evaluate your own situation but the differences are:
235 = 9.25" width
45 = 4.17" sidewall (50 = 4.63" sidewall)
Overall diameter: 235/45/R19 = 27.32" (235/50/R17 = 26.22")
