Out of Bedrock!

I've been driving my roadster for 24K miles - just waiting for the run flats to wear out. I absolutely hate the things. They remind me of the stone rollers they had on the cars in the Flintstones.

I finally gave up today - ordered the Continental Extreme Contact DWS from The Tire Rack. Also ordered a spare tire from Way Motor Works. If my boot is full I will carry a small compressor and a plug kit. If the boot is open I'll keep the spare in there.

I'll let you all know what I think of the new ride. I can't wait to get out of Bedrock.

At the rate I'm going, I've got some time left. 9k on the run flats now. Hate them too. Looking forward to a smoother, more aggressive ride!

What Service!

I ordered my tires yesterday afternoon and they were delivered less than 24 hours later. That's pretty impressive. I'm going to try to get them mounted tomorrow!

So after a few days on the new tires I have to say I am very happy. I wish I had dumped the run flats day 1. The ride is so much better. I really don't understand why mini doesn't just find a spot for a spare tire and dump these things!

I also want to say that Tire Rack was awesome. I was very impressed by service and price. The tires were delivered in 24 hours and I had them on the car 24 hours after that.

When you go to replace your shocks you will notice that much more of a difference as well.

I've thought about that. I unfortunately purchased the "sports package" when I got my roadster - which includes the sport suspension which is less forgiving than the standard one. I'll have to think about shocks.

I don't know about the roadster, but on my '12 MCS hardtop, the sport suspension was a separate option from the sport package.

Sport Package - $1,250
Includes: [5DT] Dynamic Traction Control And [522] Xenon Headlamps (includes Power Washers) And [785] White Turn-Signal Lights And [2GD] 17" Alloy Wheels, Conical Spoke
