What Looks better, Handles better?
Hello there, what looks and handles better? Biggest, tallest wheels and lowered stance, or medium sized wheels and even lower stance? Two different styles I see around Europe and Germany also, what is staggered?
Plus, looking for something drivable in winter without sacrificing much in looks or something I could change easily according to seasons of need be.
Getting my first Mini late summer, so doing lots of research and questioning.

Staggered is what you find on sportscars like BMWs and Porsche.
For RWD it would be a wider wheel width in the rear to help the drive wheels to grip more.
Normal family cars and MINIs have all four wheels the same width.
FWD cars don't come staggered unless they are used for racing.
Looks are always subjective, it's what looks good to you or the owner.
Handling has to do with which tire you choose, what suspension you have, and a little with the sidewall height within reason. The taller the sidewall the more flex it has and the smoother the ride could be if the tire sidewall construction is not too firm as in a runflat.
By tallest wheels, you may mean larger diameter such as 17 or 18" wheels vs 16" wheels.
Stance has to do with how the car sits on it's suspension which might be lowered from stock height and the wheels which can be wider than stock on tires that are lower profile. Unfortunately sometimes this setup can be rather firm riding on anything but smooth roads.
If your roads are full of potholes then you are better off with tires that have a taller sidewall that can take driving over potholes with less risk of damage.
16x7" rims, 205/55-16 tires, a slightly lowered suspension will likely work fine for those with bad roads.

So you want it all huh....lol.
Lots of old crx drivers around...had a '89.....
Its all compromise...most end up with 2 sets of rims...
A set of either all season winters with tall sidewalls for more rim protection/better ride for the winter, and a set of stickier lower profile rims for the warmer months... In either a max summer or UHP.
so much of what you as is a matter of taste....
I kinda like a mini on 15's....handles playfully with light rims...
But other prefer "stance look" or having a 40 series rubber on a 17 or 35 on an 18....
I lean toward function over looks....my car is a sleeper...covered in road salt and grime....but pretty recently modded.
Enjoy you future car...be sure to get a mechanic familiar with mini's to look at it if you buy used....mini's are a bit different, and easy to get burned on.....very unhonda like.

What is the weather like in the winter? Snow, how much?
Do you need to drive in the winter?
If you get deep snow you will need winter wheels and tires, something basic and cheap, 16" will work OK.
If you have mild winter and light snow it is possible you can use Ultra High Performance All Season tires for year round use. This class of tire is more forgiving for street comfort than Summer tires and wears better/longer. But handling is not quite as sharp although it will be fine for most owners.
If you get dedicated winter tires and wheels you can get aggressive Max Summer tires for the rest of the year and go with 17" and 205/45-17 tires for good handling. Summer tires won't last as long, how many miles do you drive per year? A good example of a softer riding but good Max Summer tire is Continental ExtremeContact DW.
You can also consider 16x7" and 205/50-16 or 205/55-16 tires in Summer tires or even Grand Touring All Season tires if you value a comfortable ride and longer treadwear with tolerance for some cold weather in early fall or late spring.
