Hey up all - First post so please be gentle, I can't spell for tofee

Been loitering on the pages for a while, Its a well put-together site and makes for compulsive reading .

I have a production est date of 11/15/02 though I called BMW customer service(could find direct minUSA #?) and they said my "parts" are being ordered today!!. I am guessing that mini has around a 6 day broadcast for supplier parts right? So my build start could be within a week - heres hoping that I get my supercharged banna before the bitchin MI winter sets in.

I wibbled around and settled on Liquid Yellow/White Roof/No stripes their nasty!!/Sports Pack and cold weather (rear warmers to keep spouse happy:p) with white wheels. Not sure about the wheel color but I am guessing that I am too late to change now. I hope I can live with Yellow but I figured I was getting a pretty unsensible car so may as well get a lairy color also

So onto my questions
Is the heated front windscreen included in cold weather pack now or is this not till 12/12/02?
I used to own an old 1000cc mini back in Blighty that I could get sideways through a corner but still be within my side of the road, I am hoping that my new arrival will have the same chuckability, Now here comes the shocker I have yet to drive one!!!!!

I have many a burning questions but figured I better stop now coz no one wants to read a novel

P

if its just the wheels you want to change than it may be possible, ofcourse once the order goes in you cant change anything on the car itself. Just ask them, assuming is the root of all evil.

Hi-- welcom to the board! It's a great place to fuel your obsession.

I don't know about the heated windscreen, but the direct MINIUSA # is 866-ASK-MINI. They can tell you exactly what stage your car is at, and whether or not you can switch the wheels, if you so desire. My thought is that it might be too late (if they are already pulling your parts then production is pretty close) but it's worth a call. They could also tell you about the windscreen. Good luck!

Cheers,

Leslie

Hello fellow michiganian spaner

Where in Michigan do you live? How is Motor City MINI treating you? You've to at least testdrive a MINI to help with the craving.

I like your original choice for your MINI if that counts at all. There are not many cars period with white wheels so right away they stand out. Oh yeah the MINI stands out a little too I guess

I don't think we'll get the heated windshield in the US anytime soon.
