So this afternoon I was rotating my tires (front to back swap) and noticed excessive wiggling when tightening the front two back down. After some searching around on NAM I was able to find a helpful thread and diagnose the problem via this video:

I'm planning replacing both front control arm bushings as they are both bad. Any recommendations on which brand to go with?

 

Don't 2nd guess, go Powerflex. Swap those inner ball joints, swaybar, steering rack bushes & change your CHF11S Power Steering Fluid & PS hose clamps while your subframe is down. Many birds w/ 1 stone.

 

That's easy. Go with the Powerflex Control Arm Bushings they are hands down the best. You'll never have to replace them again and it will bring new life back into the suspension.

Yeah from what I've been reading Powerflex is a noticeable difference, especially if your stocks are completely shot like mine.

Hopefully I can afford everything you mentioned b/c that would be like killing a flock (of birds) with one stone

@minsanity how much do you think all of that would run me? (minus the bushings, thanks @WayMotorWorks)
