parking lights to fog lights

Hello All,

I have R56 with parking lights only.
Is there anyway I can convert those parking lights into fog lights?

Thank you

As a pop in, no fuss, no mess, no. The factory wiring is completely different, and the computer needs a reprog.

I am working on something with a nice set of PIAA's, but all the mount points easily accessible are plastic so it is going to take some clever measuring to mount them secure and fix up a switch. It has been done by others on this forum, search. I will post pics once I get it all figured out the way I want.

I installed oem fog lights on my 2010 MINI without any problems but I did not attempt to use the oem wiring. I just installed them as you would aftermarket driving lights with a relay so they only operate with the low beam headlights. I also installed a switch inside on the left knee bolster where the oem driving light switch is normally located. If you want the switch on the console in the oem position it will get a lot more complicated (and expensive) and require a dealer reprogramming. The lights can be installed without removing the front bumper by removing the headlights and working thru the top. The right side is easy but the left side requires a partial removal of the windshield washer reservoir. I got my fog lights used on eBay for about $50 each.
