The oem's seem to be pretty expensive. Which one's are good/decent on the cheaper side of things?

With projector headlamps, I'm not sure, but I'd think it's safe to say that you can have good projectors, or cheap projectors, but not both...

The wallet-friendly ones you find on eBay that have descriptions riddled with grammatical errors are imported from China/Hong Kong/Taiwan, and probably are really poor at lighting. They're probably dim, aimed horribly, etc.

the old adage, "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.

take a look at the modification forum, theres a few write ups, the spyder versions are supposedly good, i have been able to take a differenece for myself, i will be at some point come spring/summer. but they are meant for halogen. you can get a retrofit kit for them that one of us have just recently written up so you can have the use of HIDs
