Service in Queens/LI?
Hi, a new GP owner here. I traded my 2011 S in November for 0315 and never looked back. I haven't had as much fun since my 2002 tii in 1974.
My salesperson at Prestige, Terry Glattman, was great. Terry sold me the S and did the right thing on the trade. Carolyn in service there is the best. I need however, if you could, the name of a great independent shop in Queens or Nassau county. I drive into the city every day and I'm a 3 or 4k oil change kind of guy. Route 17 is a long haul to change the oil.Thank you for your help! Motor on...

Terry Glattman sold me my '07 MCS back in August. He is a straight shooter and a good guy. I recommend him if you can make it out to Prestige Mini in Ramsey.
By the way, I see that you (studiocat) are in Forest Hills. I grew up in Flushing a long time ago: Francis Lewis HS and Queens College. Do we have any schools or neighborhoods in common?

No problem. I have a body that lives in LI and he goes to an Indy shop around there with his MINI I'll ask him for the name of the shop, he likes them but I don't know them.
Yeah the GP is a blast and it looks gorgeous. There is a member here on NAM that has his GP for sale for 28,000 with around 8,000 miles on it, it is in mint condition.
We got together a few times for runs last year, it's a beautiful car too bad that he is selling it and that I can not afford it lol.
A few of us get together some Saturdays and go for small runs just to keep warm. Next month we are thinking of doing a small run on a Saturday morning I could let you know if you want to join, also keep an eye out for the NYC section in this forum there are a few nice runs organized by some cool people.
And for a more local activities you can also join NEMINI.org

I'm originally from Chicago, arrived here in the 70's. A run sounds like fun. Thanks again.
