Check Engine Light

This morning on my way to work I had to brake real hard to avoid someone that pulled out in front of me. No accident (WHEW). My check engine light came on just after? I think the heavy braking cause it to come on. Any thoughts?

Did you experience any other "symptoms" after the heavy braking?
More information would be greatly appreciated

No other symptons.
The light went out by itself by the end of the day?
Going to hook it up to Scangauge this afternoon.
