Front Control Arm/ Brake Bushings and Alignment

I was told two different things:I need an alignment after replacing the control arm bushings and that I don't. They are also called brake reaction bushings. Any opinions on this? I won't have to pay for the alignment, but this is more about who to believe. Right now, I'm not trusting either.

They're both right. It kind of depends. If the alignment was done previously with bad control arm bushings the bushings can deflect and mess up the alignment. Now that you've got new bushings in the car what was a good alignment may not be good anymore because the bushings are not deflecting. Also, the subframe has a little play in the bolt holes so there is some possibility for changing alignments when the subframe is loosened to get the bushings out. If the alignment is free it certainly wouldn't hurt to have it done.
