Hey guys:


first off, a very Happy New Year to you all!


I have a question regarding engine oil and transmission fluid. I ran a forum search, but didn;'t find anything really specific.


I know what the manual says, but I was wondering about you guys' own preferences on brands and viscosity. any recommendations beyond the BMW stuff? My Dad uses this Castrol Edge Professional stuff on his cars and swears by it.


Also, any recommendations on transmission fluid? The Bentley recommends the BMW MTF-LT-4. I've used Red Line stuff in the past. Just wondering what you guys think?

I've been using Royal Purple for both, very happy with the results.

Use what you are comfortable with, there is no right answer.
