WMW Complete Engine Bushing Kit...what am I missing here?

So I was getting ready to order the Powerflex Complete Engine Bushing Kit from Way Motor Works for my 03' R53 for $146.......it comes with upper engine mount, lower engine mount, and gearbox bushings.

So then I thought I would just find out what they cost individually. $30.99 for gear box bushings, $30.95 for lower engine mount bushings, and $30.95 for upper engine mount bushings. So $92.89 for everything.

Why is the complete kit $146, but the kits individually $92.89.

What am I missing here??

That's for the 04-06 R53. When you select 03 R53 the price bumps up to $146. Just trying to figure out why.

Look...the price is 88$ for the 3 part set....146$ for the 5 part set...
Maybe you browser is not working right....the set you get is dependent upon the year of the car.

The 146$ is for a 5 part complete kit...needed for some cars based on age..remember... Parts changed.

I see that the parts are different...it looks like the 04-06 kits don't come with the upper engine mount bushings.

When I looked up the Powerflex kit for the 03' Uppper Bushings, AND Lower Bushings.....do they not come with the small, and large bushings? I'm just trying to piece everything together that comes in the $146 kit for the 03' R53's....but everything I need sure isn't coming up to $146.

Call Way. He or his staff would be happy to explain to you why they require more $ for the parts. Such great customer service.

Actually, I think I just figured it out. Those "small" motor mount bushings that the 03' kit come with are theses guys......

http://www.waymotorworks.com/powerfl...e-bushing.html

So by the time you add two of those kits, you end up with $146.87 for the pieced together kit. So if you but the whole kit, you save $.87.

OK, now it all makes sense

Yep, the earlier cars have 'insertable' upper bushings. The '04-'06 have the fluid filled mounts (that tend to barf out the fluid all over the frame rail.)

How important is it to replace the gear box bushing also? Do those typically wear out?

You are correct everyone is welcome to call us if unsure of something.

But as you can see it looks like several people figured it out. There are 2 different kits.
The 02-03 kit is 5pc
and 04-06 kit is 3pc kit

Way, how many of your customers complain about the added NVH when replacing all 5 bushings on the 03' R53's? I'm wondering I should go with the poly powerflex bushings, or install new stock bushings. Thanks!
