Replaced Clutch, Mushy clutch pedal.

I replaced the clutch over the weekend and now the clutch pedal only engages at about 1/4 way. It will go into gear just fine, but it is just so soft and feels like a honda now

When I took off the slave cylinder, the cylinder extended out more. I'm thinking that I was supposed to compress the cylinder as I removed it, and now there is air in the Hydraulic line.

What do you guys think? Do I need to replace the slave cylinder or just bleed out the air with the clutch down over night trick?

Try compressing the slave cylinder and rebleeding. Worked on our car when I did a clutch change.

Yeah, I'm gonna wait till it gets a little warmer to do the bleed unless I find another garage.

2' length 2x4 holding the pedal down overnight (jammed in place with the seat), tomorrow no more mush, weather be damned.

Your saying, doing what you suggest will get rid of the air in the system?

This will require a lot of bleeding.
