Hi, I have an 04 Copper S in which the supercharger started making a loud whining noise every time u touched the accelerator. It is not the usual spinning noise of the SC which in familiar with, is a different louder spinning noise like. So I read a few threads and learned that SC tend to fail around 110k to 130k which is around what my car has right now. I have pulled the SC out following a forum DYI and I was planning to change the oil hoping that maybe it was just low in oil, but now that is out I'm wondering if there is anything else I could do to confirm if the SC is indeed bad and not just low in oil. I wouldn't wanna have to remove this thing again since is a time consuming job. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Get in there with an automotive stethoscope, normally S/C noise is from the W/P gears and sounds more like a rattle.
